Speaking

Andrea is an inspirational and moving speaker, whose life-experiences as a hospice chaplain, a chaplain to Ground Zero, and a cancer survivor infuse her presentations with insight and empathy. Even when addressing the most difficult topics, she finds a way to bring humor, offering relatable glimpses of what it is to be human. These snapshots of grace and hope are a comforting reminder that we are all in this together.

Andrea speaks to high school and college students on topics such as living through trauma, the fear of gun violence, and coping with grief, as well as how to forge their paths with creativity and courage. With teachers and staff members, she addresses the challenge of supporting students through difficult times, while maintaining their own spirits

Andrea is a frequent speaker at healthcare agencies and communities of faith on issues relating to the end of life. She shares what to expect when someone you love has a serious or terminal illness, how to accompany one another on the journey, the spiritual and emotional challenges that arise for the dying and their loved ones, and what to say (or not say) to someone who is grieving. She is skilled in the area of compassion fatigue, and provides educational inservices to nurses, volunteers, home health agencies, service personnel, and clergy.
